• Free Phat Photo Editing

I am not a wizard with Photoshop but I have been known to please a few people by restoring, spicing up, adding special effects to their favorite photos. And now I am taking my hobby online. If you e-mail me your photo and tell me exactly what you want I will try to do it for you. I will do this for FREE, and my meaning of FREE is that you send me the photo, I restore, spice add effects, etc and then return it to you and you don't pay me a thing (Just tell your friends about me). E-mail your photos here; phatphotoshed@yahoo.com

David’s Red Sweater

I did this one for David from California. He asked to have the photo in black and white but the sweater left red.

First I duplicated the background layer and then adjusted it with the black and white filter. Then I added a layer mask to the black and white layer.

With a small brush I carefully painted in the edges of the red sweater and then chose a larger brush and filled in the rest of the color, and that’s a wrap!

Open Your Eyes, or I’ll Open Them For You!

My wife made good friends with these two ladies while we were on holiday in Scotland. My wife wanted to have this photo printed. The only problem, one of the ladies eyes closed as the photo was taken.

I had taken another photo of my wife and Janet together and I used that one to get Janet’s eyes and I resized them and added them to the other photo on a separate layer and then with a layer mask I brushed the eyes in.

From Day to Night

I did this for a competition. There was 3 photos to choose from so I chose this one of a European city.

First I removed the sky and then added a new sky with clouds. Then I added a moon and put down its opacity. Then I flattened the whole image and duplicated it and blurred one and set it to overlay, this gave the dreamy glow.

Then I added a purple filter the sunlight (I think) looks good at the moonlight.

My Son, Daniel

This is an interesting photo of my son, Daniel. He looks really interested in something. I used the Quick Selection tool and then cut him out of the background. Then I put it on to a black background and applied a Dark Strokes filter over the layer with Daniel. Then I brought down the opacity of that same layer.

Finally I used the Gradient tool to add some shadow to the bottom of the photo.

A Family Photo Restored

I like this photo so I decided to clean it up a bit. First I used the clone tool to clean up the sky and get rid of blue smudges throughout the photo. Then I cleaned up the front of the car as it had scratches on it.

Using the curves I made the entire photo brighter to take away the darkness of the shadow that coves most of the photo. This left the photo very blue, so for a finishing touch I added a deep yellow photo filter.
